We are happy to host children's birthday parties at the railway. We will reserve part of our lower field for you, and you can bring along gazebos, tables, and chairs.

At 12.30pm, we will have a double-length train ready for you, with two steam engines on the front. It will hold approximately 24 passengers (depending on size - the passengers, not the train!). If you have more than that number of guests, we will provide an additional train. The ride travels over an extra-long route and lasts about 25 - 30 minutes. You are then free to continue your celebrations in the field until we close at 4.30pm.

The cost for the ride and use of the field is £10.00 per passenger carried. Non-passengers get in free!!

If you are a member of a Club or Society and would like to arrange a visit, please let us know. We can offer you a tour of the signal boxes, engine shed and workshop followed by a 25-30 minute train ride. The cost is £12.00 per person for the tour and ride. If you would like to add tea/coffee and a snack from our tea room, this can be arranged at extra cost depending on your requirements. Looking for an unusual venue for your Company family day, anniversary or special birthday party? Well, look no further!
